Hear from coach Pat Rice as the Waunakee Warriors defeated the DeForest Norskies 31-7 on Friday night to improve to 4-0.
Waunakee led 7-0 before DeForest tied it up in the second quarter. But from that point, it was all Waunakee, as the Warriors scored 24 unanswered to win their 18th game in a row and 23rd straight conference game, the fourth-longest conference winning streak in the state (and the longest overall win streak, tied with three other teams).
Rice says he is thankful for getting a four-quarter game out of an opponent, since the Warriors have played in three straight blowouts to this point. While the final margin indicates a dominating Waunakee performance, it wasn't until late that the game was no longer in doubt. Here's Coach Rice following the win over DeForest:
