Madison East coach Jeremy Thornton, who played at East and coached as an assistant at West before returning to East as head coach last year, discusses the special history of the East-West game in Madison.
Thornton says there's a ton of history in the match-up, including at Breese Stevens, and that he's seen both sides of it, as an East alum and former West assistant. Knowing both programs the way he does, Thornton believes that both teams are young, hungry, and excited for the big game on Friday night.
East is coming off of a tough week one loss to Middleton, one that Thornton says was a tough draw out of the gates, but could draw some positives from the contest to help them get better and work towards their first win under his direction.
