Middleton girls' golf coach Becky Halverson discusses Monday's meet results, where the Cardinals came in second, and how the golf team manages bad weather situations, such as the record-setting rainfall that impacted Dane County this week.
The Cardinals finished second in their meet to Waunakee on Monday, which got in and finished before the rains hit. Coach Halverson was pleased with how the team did, and thought that top to bottom the team has been practicing pretty well. With a wave of freshmen and sophomores coming up, Coach Halverson noted their preparation and work in practice, and how it's added to the depth of the program.
In terms of the rainfall, Coach Halverson says there's plenty the golf team can do indoors, like learning the rule book, when the weather doesn't cooperate.
