Sun Prairie girls' cross country has won two straight state titles, and coach Matt Roe touts that experience as a big reason why the Cardinals could be in the running for another championship in 2018.
Citing a large number of returning runners and another solid group of incoming freshmen, Roe doesn't think the experience of running at state will rattle the Cardinals this season. If anything, now that the program has picked up two state championships in the past two years, it should be a motivating factor for Sun Prairie.
Also, Coach Roe describes the community rallying after the gas line explosion in Sun Prairie, as well as what the Cardinals have been involved in for fundraising efforts after the event.
