Conor Caloia, COO of the Madison Mallards, joins Lucas in the Morning to discuss the team's Northwoods League first-half championship and the recent AmFam Championship event at Breese Stevens.
On the Mallards, Caloia says that the team took a different approach to roster-building this season, tabbing players who might not necessarily be playing deep into June to ensure that the team would have a better compliment of players to start the season. While most of these players come from smaller schools, the Mallards still brought in some of the top-end talent fans are accustomed to, even though they might not arrive until mid-June.
On the AmFam Championship events, Caloia discusses the concert series at Breese Stevens and jokes about the height of Shaq's turntable, as well as how the event offered a little bit of something for everyone musically.
