NFL Draft Preview: Jester Weah

NFL teams typically take note of wide receivers with size and speed, and former Madison Memorial standout and Pittsburgh wide receiver Jester Weah is notable for more than those physical traits.

While Weah had a down year statistically in 2017, at least part of that can be attributed to poor quarterback play at Pitt. The 6-3 receiver offered 4.48 speed at the NFL Combine, and his willingness to play in traffic and contribute in run blocking should put him in the conversation as a late-round NFL Draft pick.

NFL.com Draft Overview:

Weah is a big, vertical receiver with strong hands and good body control who needs extended runways to build up his speed. He doesn't have the twitch or foot quickness to separate against strong coverage and he lacks the early speed to run past corners and stack them on his hip on deep throws. His size and ability to secure in a crowd are plusses, but he could be limited to a role as a zone-buster with some vertical ability. Projection: Sxith-Seventh Round
