While 2017 didn't go as the Crusaders would have hoped record-wise, coach Bob Sulser remains optimistic that his players enjoyed their time on the field and that combined with hard work they can improve upon their standing in the Badger South, where Edgewood plays as the smallest team in the conference. Coach Sulser points to the level of competition as being a benefit for the squad come playoff time, when they can play schools their own size and use the experiences of playing primarily Division 1 opponents to their advantage in the WIAA Tournament.
