Brewers bullpen delivers in 8-5 win over Tigers Wednesday

Milwaukee's bullpen put up four perfect innings, allowing the Brewers to rally down the stretch in a 8-5 win over the Detroit Tigers Wednesday.

Jace Peterson hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to punctuate the Brewers' comeback, down 5-3 heading into the bottom of the fifth. Milwaukee added two in the fifth inning to tie, and went ahead in the seventh inning on a hit by Eric Sogard.

Eric Yardley, Devin Williams, and Josh Hader combined to go four innings, striking out six without allowing a hit or a walk, enabling the Brewers to add late runs to take the victory and split a two-game series with the Tigers.

Milwaukee remains in third place in the NL Central, and just outside of the NL playoff picture.

Next up, the Brewers have a day off before visiting Cleveland Friday through Sunday.
