Coming from a former player who was in Aaron Rodgers' situation 15 years ago, comments made Wednesday by a certain former Packers quarterback started a firestorm across Wisconsin.
Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show Wednesday afternoon, Brett Favre said that he thinks Rodgers will play somewhere else before his career was over, and that the Jordan Love pick by the Packers 'got the gears going' in Rodgers' mind.
"It's not Aaron's job to mentor Jordan," said Favre, adding that the pick sends the message that team is not trying to win now.
Favre also said that it gives Rodgers incentive to want to play elsewhere.
15 years ago, the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first round, and sat him for three years before eventually trading Favre to the New York Jets.
