Brewers drop Spring Training opener to San Diego 7-2 Sunday

Milwaukee's delayed Cactus League opener didn't go the Brewers' way.

Ronny Rodriguez (pictured) and Chad Spanberger provided the offense with a pair of solo home runs, and several pitchers got through untouched, but runs in the early innings and the ninth did the Brewers in Sunday.

The solo home runs accounted for two of the Brewers' three hits in the game.

Brett Anderson and Josh Lindblom allowed three runs in the first two innings, and it was enough as the Brewers could only scratch two across. The remaining Padres runs came against prospects Devin Williams and J.P. Feyereisen in the 8th and 9th innings.

Milwaukee hosts the Los Angeles Angels Monday at 2:05 p.m. Central Time.
