Stoughton, Prairie du Chien, Fennimore head to state in wrestling

After team sectional play in wrestling on Tuesday night, the 16 teams heading to Madison March 6 and 7 are determined. That field includes defending champion Stoughton, as well as Prairie du Chien and Fennimore, in southwestern Wisconsin.

In Division 1, Stoughton advanced by defeating Janesville Craig 55-21. Waunakee fell in their sectional to Holmen, 49-24.

In Division 2, Prairie du Chien defeated Lodi 40-30 to advance to state, after taking down Richland Center in the semifinal 65-18. East Troy lost their semifinal dual 50-24 to Kiel.

In Division 3, Fennimore advanced past Aquinas 51-21. Fennimore defeated Royall in the semifinal 69-12.
